Baby’s Only Organic^® Sensitive with Organic DHA and ARA Toddler Formula* is the first organic milk-based formula intended for children with a sensitivity to lactose or those who have experienced a gastrointestinal illness. It also offers an alternative to parents who wish to avoid soy protein and has the added benefit of certified organic DHA and ARA naturally derived from egg yolks from eggs laid by organic hens. In the ingredient panel of our label, this is called organic egg lecithin. Our DHA and ARA is hexane free, unlike the DHA and ARA derived from algae or fungus sources.  This product is OU certified Kosher.

Lactose Intolerance

Lactose intolerance occurs when the body’s ability to make the enzyme, lactase, is affected resulting in the inability to digest milk sugar (lactose). It is typically genetic, predominate in some ethnic groups and is often known to be an issue for family members. Lactose intolerance can also occur after a medical gastrointestinal illness resulting in diarrhea. It can also be the result of a rare genetic disorder, Galactosemia. Consult your doctor for medical advice if this could be true. Lactose intolerance can result in stomach cramps, nausea, bloating, gassiness and/or diarrhea.

Canola oil is an excellent source of unsaturated fats and essential fatty acids that must be consumed in the daily diet to ensure good growth and development. Parents should be aware that Nature’s One does not use objectionable ingredients like organic corn syrup (also called glucose syrup), organic palm olein oil and hexane processed DHA or DHA derived from environmentally unfriendly sources such as fish. Phospholipids vs Triglycerides (Fatty Acids)

The DHA and ARA used by Nature’s One® are fatty acids from egg yolk, while other formulas use DHA and ARA derived from algae and fungus, which are triglycerides. The greatest amount of DHA in breast milk is in the phospholipid form. The use of egg phospholipids in human nutrition has been widely studied and understood to be more easily absorbed and offer greater bioavailability than DHA and ARA from triglycerides. Contact us for more information.

Phospholipids Balance Fatty Acids

Breast milk is made up of both phospholipids and triglycerides. All other organic formulas only contain triglycerides formulated with vegetable oil blends and DSM’s life’sDHA® but are void of phospholipids. Nature’s One® believes adding a phospholipid to formula achieves a more natural fatty acid profile and better supports rapid brain neuron development.
